It was my due date on the 14 of Aug, and as usual, because I haven't delivered yet, I went to the clinic for my weekly review with Dr. R. During the scan, we were so shocked to found out that I have no water left.. I didn't remember if my water broke the past week.. So, he refered me to Likas Hospital for 'No Liquor' that very evening. So, we went back home, grab my bag and went straight to likas.. On the way, I keep praying to God to protect my baby and hopefully everything will be fine..
At Likas, after registering, they put me into bed and did a CTG scan to hear my baby's heartbeat.. I was there for about 1 hour before the Dr. did an ultrasound confirming Dr. R's report.. Then, she checked for my opening (which was so painful ;P, and they did it few times before the delivery haha). 1 cm dilated.. She gave me two choice, either c-section or normal birth.. She told me that my baby is around 3.6kg to 4.0kg and there would be complication if I choose normal birth. I was so confused during that time.. All this while, I was planning on normal birth.. So, I told her I need to discuss with my hubby..
We went back to the registration room.. Me and hubby have had the chance to talk to the Dr. If I have a contraction before 10 am next morning, than I can choose to do normal birth. If not, I have to do c-section because of the 'No liquor' problem.. I had problem sleeping the whole night thinking about my baby. They did a CTG scan at 10pm and baby's heartbeat is still strong.. *smile
I didn't feel any contraction until around 10.30am the next morning. It was about 3-5 min from each contraction. When checked, I was already 4cm dilated. Dr asked me again if I want to do c-section or normal birth.. I choose normal. But, because I was scheduled to go to the operation room, they have no empty room at the delivery room. I was having a strong contraction and I feel pain all the time.. Even hubby cannot do anything and I felt sorry for him haha..
At around 2pm I was transferred to the delivery room.. And because I was just 4cm dilated, we waited some more.. I was fully dilated at 3.30pm and in labor for half and hour.. Exactly at 3.58pm, our little angel was born.. But, I only got to see her for a couple seconds before they took her away for further examination coz she already 'poop' inside.. Thank God, she's fine and healthy..
